13SICK is Australia’s largest network of home visiting doctors. For more than 30 years we have been supporting General Practice with after-hours doctor visits, providing continuity of care to patients at night times and on weekends, including the unsociable hours. We currently support more than 2,895 General Practices nationally. 

An essential service

13SICK offers an important, essential service to many of Australia’s most vulnerable groups – infants, children and the elderly living at home or in aged care homes. Our service is an alternative to presenting at the emergency department or calling an ambulance – which takes pressure off our stretched hospital system.

Peace of mind in the after hours

With more than 400 doctors in our team, wait times are minimised, and we are upgrading our business systems to make our call centre and patient contact even more efficient. Our post-visit patient survey reveals an overwhelmingly positive response to the service. This gives you peace of mind that your patients are well cared-for when you are off-duty.

Collaboration with Health Services

13SICK works collaboratively with General Practice, the RACGP, the Department of Health, Medicare, the AMA and primary hospital networks to support General Practice. We acknowledge the importance of the General Practitioner/patient relationship, and our service works hard to reinforce the relationship between your patients and their regular Doctor.
